Fun Weekend all around

This was definitely one of the best (non-Elo >:)) weekends in awhile. Saturday, I worked from morning to early afternoon (ok, that wasn't so fun), then we went to a cinco de mayo party and later to a good-bye party for a friend who's leaving for a fellowship at Oxford (um, cool?!).

We didn't intend on staying at either party long, especially because gnome is still not feeling well, but in atypical style, we stayed on for hours at each. The old UT recycling crew was at the second party, so it was great to see them again.. ah.. the days when I was crazy about recycling >:)
Ok, I still care, but I no longer have an emotional reaction to finding an aluminum can in a trash bin or an apple core in a recycling bin. It sucks, but it's not worth being crazy about.

Anyway.. yeah.. slept in this morning, then played tennis with a neighbor. I play tennis about once a year and every time I rediscover how fun it is and swear that I'm going to play a lot and get good, then never play again until the following year. This year.. will be different! I'm going to play all the time! Maybe even take a lesson! ok.. well.. we'll see :)

To top it off, tonight we have plans to go to a friend's place for dinner, then overstay our welcome in their hot tub. Hopefully I'll get some finals studying in before then (not part of the fun).

All of the recent activity may be partially at fault for gnome being asleep right now and headache-y all day.. hopefully he'll be feeling better for our Tour d'Fredericksburg Mother's Day plans, but at this rate of recovery the prospects look grim..
