Artastic
One of my favorite things to do is to go to art fairs. Not old lady art fairs with old lady art, but cool art. Like, the Wheatsville art fest is cool. See? The distinction should be obvious. :)
Yesterday I bought a painting from JP's Java, and hauled it home in the rain, strapped on my bike. Isn't it pretty? This purchase inspired me to photograph the few other pieces I have. (As you will see, I'm not known for my photography.. or rather the lighting in my apartment is terrible).
These dancing women are from the Wheatsville art fest, and their aquatic friends were saved from Ikea by redhead.

More fro
m Wheatsville Art fest.. The octopus is one of my favorites. If you go to any art fairs in town, you'll probably run into the artist. Look for the bait used as art.

Now THIS (the 3-in-1 piece.. blogger's interface isn't letting me line these up right..) is a masterpiece. It's a 3-piece piece, made by 3 wontabulous artists! Can you guess who they are?

And a photo by the redhead (I'm sure she has a better copy on flickr):

And then the man who guarded the entrance to my rat-infested apartment in Arlington:

Second to last but not least, some recent work by Elo and myself:

And lastly, some friends who made all of this possible:
