Chocolate Espresso Martinis

Elo came to town this weekend, and as always it was fun and tiring. This time, I was mostly to blame for tiring myself out. With gnome being sick, I haven't drank anything in a long time, so Thursday night when we went to a show I went a bit overboard. This was followed by more drinks all weekend (including a delicious and attention-grabbing chocolate espresso martini at Halcyon Friday early evening!), in moderation, but my body just wasn't used to it and I crashed Saturday night early.

Sunday, we saw "Steel Magnolias" at the Austin Playhouse with the transplpeeps. As always, an amazing, heart-wrenching (ok, a few tears :)), funny performance. We were the only group under 70 in the crowd, but it's rather pleasant to see old peeps laughing their asses off.

What else.. um.. we took pictures of shoes, waited a few hours for brunch at Kerby (mmm migas).. craft beer festival where our lone boy won a blinking marijuana leaf hat (how lucky!.. hehe).
