Craig's List Responses - The Highlights
I'm trying to sell two items on Craig's List before I return to Austin.
So far, both items have garnered great interest, but regrettably remain unsold.
Why?
Item 1:
I must've priced this one too low because it got so many responses in the first hour that I took the ad down. The first woman who emailed me agreed to pick it up this weekend after I gave her my address and phone number. An hour before she's supposed to arrive I get an email. Her car is malfunctioning and can she come tomorrow? Luckily I was at the library to receive her email since I don't have Internet at home.
Today, I leave work 20 minutes early to meet her. Wait.. wait.. um.. Ok, I'm back at the library. I emailed her saying I'm going to offer it to someone else. Why didn't she call?
All of the inquiries I received on this were fairly normal.
Item 2:
A very nice woman really wanted to buy it, but just couldn't work it out with her roommate. Now I'm looking for an alternate buyer. Here are a sampling of my options:
" i want to buy it now please email me with the phone or directions."
"DO YOU STILL HAVE THE
THANKS SO MUCH"
Is it wrong that I'm scared of capital letters? and I don't always use punctuation, but.. are you joking?? As a female who lives alone, I can't say I'd prefer to give out my address and phone number to people who scare me.
There are a few more normal responses that I'll try first..
